Feature Criteria & Experience Standards

To maintain editorial integrity, VL Magazine applies the following experience benchmarks:

• General Feature Requirement: A minimum of 10 years of active experience in the field, industry, or business being represented.
• Cover Features: A minimum of 15 years of proven experience, influence or leadership, supported by demonstrated industry authority and long-term impact.

Exception Clause

Features with a minimum of 5 years experience may be considered only where significant milestones, measurable outcomes, or industry-shaping achievements are clearly evident. Exceptions are rare and evaluated at editorial discretion.

Feature Levels

• Cover Features: Reserved for established leaders whose work, vision and legacy shape industries and conversations. Cover subjects embody longevity, authority and global relevance.
• Main Editorial Features: In-depth stories spotlighting individuals or businesses with sustained excellence, influence and a clear trajectory of growth and impact.
• Industry & Spotlight Features: Focused narratives highlighting expertise, innovation and contribution within a specific sector, supported by experience and results.
• Social Features: Bite-sized, curated highlights drawn from individuals and businesses who qualify for VL covers and editorial features. These features offer snapshots of insight, milestones or perspective while maintaining the same credibility, tone and aspirational standard.

Editorial Discretion

VL Magazine reserves the right to decline feature requests that do not align with our values or meet our editorial criteria.

VL cover features are merit-based and carry no fees, except for special requests approved at the magazine’s discretion.
